What is OpenJournalRank?

OJR, the OpenJournalRank Indicator, compares the citations to a journal’s papers from the previous three years with the world average for papers of the same subfield, year and type. 1.00 is the world average, so scores compare across fields.

It is free and computed from open OpenAlex data. Each yearly release is sealed: its manifest records every published file. The code will be published under the MIT License.

What each journal page shows

Each journal page shows its OJR, quartile (Q1–Q4), rank in its field, Impact factor (2-year) and OpenAlex-listed APC, with how each number was computed.
